Tell me more...

Ancient Chinese Medicine considers not just the symptoms of the internal body, but looks also at the condition of the energy channels or meridians, along with the person's Shen or spirit. There is a strong relationship between a healthy body and a healthy mind and ACM treats both.

Each treatment plan is totally individualised- 3 people can present with headaches but may need 3 very different treatments to influence the different root causes of those headaches. So every treatment is addressed to your specific needs and conditions.

The Treatment

Before your treatment make sure you

  • Eat at least 2 hours before

  • Wear loose and comfortable clothing.

The treatment itself can last between 15 and 40 minutes depending on the nature of your condition and the treatment given. I stay in the room with you at all times, and may sometimes check your pulse during the course of the treatment.

The time after the treatment can be as influential as the treatment itself as the body continues to rebalance for up to 24 hours after. It is important to benefit the body and mind by following these steps:

  • Keep hydrated- no alcohol, tea or coffee!

  • Take it easy and relax

  • Make sure you get an early night on the day of your treatment

  • Keep warm and dry- don't go out in wet, windy conditions!

  • Eat healthy, nutritious food

Price

The first appointment is 90 minutes long.

Subsequent appointments are between 40 and 60 mins long dependant on the treatment given.

Initial consultation fee is £50.

All following treatments are £40.

The number of treatments required are on the condition and how long you have had it. Usually I would expect to see results within 4 to 6 sessions.

Does it hurt!?

You may feel a slight scratch as the needles are inserted but many people don't feel them at all.

Once the needles are in, some people talk of a feeling of floatiness and relaxation.
